Who are we and what do we offer?

Digital Generation (DG) is your specialist employee benefits partner, offering a curated range of technology products and accessories via our digital e-commerce portal.
We aim to provide all group employees with an efficient, affordable shopping experience for home, work, study, and gaming.
The portal is fully managed by DG—please direct all queries to customercare@dg.co.za.

How do I create an account?

When you first engage with the DG portal, you will be required to register your details so that the system can create your unique profile.

Please ensure that you keep the profile details and your password safe. Please do not share these personal details with anyone else.

How do I order a product?

  • Browse products, add to cart, select delivery address and method.
  • Choose your payment method and complete payment online.
  • Once payment is confirmed, someone from DG will call to validate your order and arrange delivery.
  • You can cancel for legitimate reasons like obvious pricing errors, payment disputes, or suspicious account activity (e.g., multiple accounts or fraudulent discount codes).

How do I pay?

·       All payments are done online using the DG payment gateway services. Please note that payment must be completed and approved before delivery can be done.

·       Payment takes place online according to the payment methods offered on the Portal.

·       Please note that the Shoprite Group HR department and I.T. Department assumes no responsibility for managing or administering the DG Employee e-commerce portal, therefore they will not accept any queries relating to payment and/or any other queries related to the DG portal

How do I pay?

All payments are processed securely online via our payment gateway. Payment must be completed before delivery.
Contact customercare@dg.co.za for payment queries (Shoprite HR/IT cannot assist).

Where is my order? When will I receive it?

Orders take 4-5 working days from payment approval.
Track your order status in the portal. If delayed beyond 5-7 days, email customercare@dg.co.za.

What are the delivery conditions?

  • Delivery is available only in South Africa.
  • Enter your delivery address at checkout (collection not available yet).                                                               
  • Delivery fees apply and are shown before payment.
  • Check your package on arrival—if damaged, note it on the courier slip and email customercare@dg.co.za within 7 days.
  • Ownership transfers once delivered and paid for.

Who is responsible for products and services?

DG manages the portal and will assist with all queries, coordinating with vendors as needed.
The technology vendor is responsible for product compliance, safety, and warranties.
Shoprite HR/IT teams cannot assist with DG portal queries—please contact customercare@dg.co.za.

What if I'm not satisfied?

DG will facilitate warranty claims and product issues with the technology vendor's South African warranty process (you may incur a R200 collection fee).
For disputes, contact us first at customercare@dg.co.za to reach an amicable solution.
Under Consumer Protection Act sections 55-56, you can request repair, replacement, refund, or partial refund for non-conformity (minor issues excluded).

What guarantees are offered?

All products come with vendor statutory and commercial warranties.
Contact customercare@dg.co.za to invoke warranty terms.
Defects within 1 month are presumed from delivery unless proven otherwise.
